USKO Visits Rising Sun Karate Academy

Updated: Apr 10

The Rising Sun Karate Academy is a member of the United States Karate Organization (USKO).  We host four annual seminars with the USKO.  We had three GrandMaster and Master level instructors come in to share their wealth of insights with our students. This particular seminar was focused on small joint manipulation for our Teens and Adults and points sparring techniques for our younger Intermediate and Advanced students. Thanks to everyone who came out and joined us.

What is the USKO?

The United States Karate Organization (USKO) has been a prominent institution in martial arts since 1972, offering training programs in Karate, Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and more. Their comprehensive approach caters to individuals of all ages, emphasizing not just martial arts skills but also personal growth, confidence, and community building.

What are the benefits of a USKO affiliated school?

The USKO’s programs are designed to meet the diverse needs of its community, from self-defense to sports competition, ensuring a well-rounded martial arts education. As an organization, they ensure that high standards of teaching are met and maintained. Not all karate programs are created equally.
