Our Background

RSKA Owner/Head Instructor, Master Marc Unger 
 

Master Unger began his martial arts journey in 1982 under Grand Master Sam Price's GoJu Ryu Karate system.  He has since earned Black Belt rankings in 3 different styles of martial arts including Kung Fu (1st Degree), Tang Soo Do (2nd Degree), and GoJu Ryu (7th Degree).  He was also a passionate practitioner and competitor in the art of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in the 90s and early 2000s.  He continues to teach the majority of the classes at RSKA and has over 25 years of teaching experience.  

 

In 2003 he earned his Bachelors Degree in Philosophy and Sociology from West Chester University.  He spent 4 years in Social Work and has a long history of counseling and mentoring youth.  

 

For fun Master Unger enjoys riding/racing mountain bikes, running 1/2 marathons as well as participating in Tough Mudders and Spartan Races.  He is both grateful and honored to be able to inspire others through the teaching of Karate for a living and passing along to others that which was taught to him.  Below are some of his martial arts accomplishments.
